Case Study: This TicketBust Client Must Have Had a Bulls eye on Her Back
TicketBust client, Lizette, is a California driver who got three speeding tickets in as many months driving her 1997 Red Acura CL. It is rare for us to see so many tickets so close together, as though this client had a bull’s eye on her back.
Lizette came to us for help on the following tickets she had received:
1. CVC 22349 on 9/9/2010 for $229
2. CVC 22350 on 11/3/2010 for $220
3. CVC 22349 on 1/10/2011 for $229
In all three matters, she was being accused of violating California Speeding laws. According to DMV, her citations were for the following Codes:
V C Section 22349 Maximum Speed Limit
(a) Except as provided in Section 22356, no person may drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than 65 miles per hour.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person may drive a vehicle upon a two-lane, undivided highway at a speed greater than 55 miles per hour unless that highway, or portion thereof, has been posted for a higher speed by the Department of Transportation or appropriate local agency upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey. For purposes of this subdivision, the following apply:
(1) A two-lane, undivided highway is a highway with not more than one through lane of travel in each direction.
(2) Passing lanes may not be considered when determining the number of through lanes.
(c) It is the intent of the Legislature that there be reasonable signing on affected two-lane, undivided highways described in subdivision (b) in continuing the 55 miles-per-hour speed limit, including placing signs at county boundaries to the extent possible, and at other appropriate locations.
V C Section 22350 Basic Speed Law
No person shall drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent having due regard for weather, visibility, the traffic on, and the surface and width of, the highway, and in no event at a speed which endangers the safety of persons or property.
Lizette was sitting on three tickets that she needed to make disappear. TicketBust.com got to work quickly on creating a Trial by Written Declaration for each of her three citations using some of the following discussions:
- Burden of Proof
- Foundational Requirements
- Line of Sight
- Traffic or Road Conditions
- Officer’s Training Records
- Distance Paced
- Speedometer Calibration
- Patrol Vehicle Number is Unknown
- Prior Case Precedence
Lizette found help at TicketBust, a professional document filing company that helps California drivers dismiss or reduce their speeding tickets and other traffic tickets. The experts at TicketBust.com helped her put together a Trial by Written Declaration and submitted all the necessary documents to the court for her, for each citation.
The easiest part of getting those three tickets was turning it all over to TicketBust.com. Here’s how:
- complete the online form and give us the background of her tickets
- sign three original copies of the Trial by Declaration form, which she downloaded from the TicketBust site
- Sign the TicketBust Engagement Letter also available for easy download, which explains the process and the terms and conditions of the TicketBust Service and Money Back Guarantee. Additionally, in California, in order to contest a traffic ticket, the court requires you to post bail for a Trial by Written Declaration. Therefore, she also had to include a bail check, made out to the court.
- The last step was to include a check for the TicketBust service.
TicketBust used these forms, etc. to submit the necessary documents to the courts. Some services leave the paperwork filing and everything else to the driver. TicketBust, on the other hand, submitted all the documents to the court on behalf of Lizette letting she sit back and wait for word from the courts about the disposition of the tickets. She did not have to go to court or even the post office. She also did not have to worry about deadlines after she secured the TicketBust services.
Lizette was found not guilty on all three citations! Her bail was returned, but more importantly, her driving record remained spotless! Her bull’s eye disappeared too. We have not heard from Lizette since January 2011
